Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary duty is to receive all revenues for the county
  • Official collector of all taxes levied within the county and designated to mail statements of real estate and personal property taxes due as well as special assessments (irrigation; city or village sewer, trash and weed mowing)
  • Distribute funds collected monthly to the schools, city, village, fire districts, cemetery districts, irrigation districts and other political subdivisions
  • Management of cash resources and investments
  • Responsible to title, register and plate all motor vehicles, trailers and watercrafts
  • Issue driver’s license, CDL, learner’s permits, school permits and ID cards

  • Plat Maps (Updated 2017) are available to purchase for $26.88 in three different styles:  red spiral bound, yellow fold-out or poster (fold-out and poster maps are also available in tough tear for $53.75)

Auto Registration is a Department of the State of Nebraska that is operated by the Treasurer Office.
