Inmate Commissary Accounts
At any time during an inmate’s stay, family and friends may deposit funds into the inmate’s commissary account. These funds must be in the form of cash or money order, if being deposited at the Garden County Jail. Sending cash through the mail is highly discouraged. Funds may be placed into an inmate’s account via the internet portal or in person at the facility. Upon release from Jail, a refund will be issued for unused phone time and for the balance in the inmate’s account.
Inmate Email
Computer terminal kiosks have been placed in the Jail facility for use by inmates to facilitate several tasks, among which are secure email, commissary order placement and intra-facility inmate coordination with staff. The email application is available for use by the inmate and their friends and family at a nominal cost per email. Please go to http://www.jailatm.com to sign up and start e-mailing the inmate today.
** Please note** Contact via e-mail with the inmate will require approval by facility staff before you’ll be allowed to send and receive email.
Inmate Texting
All inmates are assigned a texting device with a ten-digit telephone number. The inmate is unable to fund the texting account, and is allowed to send up to five free funding request texts each day. When the friend or family member responds to the web link sent in the funding request, and follows the link to fund the account, the inmate is able to send and receive text messages.
The account can also be funded without a text from the inmate by going to reliancetelephone.com, searching for our facility by city and state, and selecting an inmate to fund. The Reliance website has more information, and also a contact number if you have questions about Inmate Texting. Please note that the inmate’s texting wallet balance will not be refunded when the inmate is released.
Inmate Visitation
Inmates in the detention facility are allowed non-contact visitation.
Offsite video visitation can be accessed at Cidnet.net. Remote Visitation is available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Contacts for video visitation will have to be approved by facility staff before you can schedule a remote video visitation.
Onsite video visitation at the Garden County Sheriff’s Office is Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for visitations at these times. Appointments are not taken; visitation is on first come first served basis.
Onsite Visitation Rules:
The number of visitors per visit may be limited if deemed necessary. A federal or state issued photo identification is required prior to visitation (state issued driver’s license, state issued identification card, military identification card or passport). All visitors under the age 18 must be accompanied by a biological parent or legal guardian. Married persons under 18 shall be considered an adult when visiting an incarcerated spouse. Proof of marriage may be required.
No visitations are allowed if you have a current protection order and/or a no contact order with the inmate. You will be subject to arrest if you visit with an inmate with protection/no contact order.
Visitation will be denied if the visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Persons on parole, probation and currently out on bond are not allowed to visit inmates. All visitations can be monitored and recorded.
Visitors must be fully dressed in appropriate clothing which is not unduly provocative, suggestive, or revealing. Appropriate dress will be decided by facility staff.
No offensive, loud or disruptive language will be allowed. Unacceptable conduct will cause your visitation to be terminated immediately and may prevent you from future visits.
Each inmate is permitted at least 2 hours of visitation each week. Facility staff may limit visitation time if the number of inmates and visitors require such limitations. Affected inmates shall be permitted additional visits at other times to ensure they receive their 2 hours of visitation per week.
Inmate Bonding Information
Bond amounts are set by the court or, after hours, by the arresting officer based on the Judge sanctioned “Bond Schedule”. Not all charged crimes are bondable immediately after arrest; some offences will not have a bond set until the individual is in front of the Judge. No personal checks, or amounts other than the actual amount of the bond will be accepted.
Call the Garden County Sheriff’s Office to verify any and all bonds related to an individual. If the individual can be bonded out at that time, we will inform you what amount is needed for the bond. If you have questions regarding wiring bond money, please call our office.
If you are using cash to bond an inmate out, it must be done in person at the Jail. Garden County Jail accepts CASH for bonding, in the EXACT AMOUNT; we do not have change.
If you are bonding an inmate out using a credit card, you may use allpaid.com, at https://allpaid.com/#/plc-search/plc-details/a000r4. Enter a000r4 into the search box and press enter. Be aware that if you use a credit card to bond out an inmate, there will be a 7.5% non-refundable fee paid to the vendor.
